MediaWiki must be pinned at 1.37 in order to use LDAP authentication.
PluggableAuth must be a 5.7 in order to work with LDAPAuthentication2 and LDAPProvider, and the last release of MediaWiki supporting that is 1.37 (tracked in the REL1_37 vs. REL1.38 extension.json files).
LDAPAuthentication2's authors are aware of this issue and tracking it in this conversation.
We are pushing commit
bef53d5889
to hold mediawiki until this is done. This is relevant for @lurso3 as the dominant user.
Mediawiki reverted to local auth -- dependencies are too broken to keep supporting 1.37 and php7.
Mediawiki has been updated to 1.40 with php 8 as seen at https://lykos.aninix.net/lykos-wiki/Special:Version. LDAP access is backlogged as an internal issue pending the above conversation.
